A Mattress Factory wedding in Pittsburgh’s Northside that’s whimsy & romantic. A day full of incredible people, cool art, & urban vibes.
It was such a joy meeting Sarah and Dan on their wedding day for the first time. The majority of our chats had been over the phone and email since they were planning their day from outside of Pittsburgh, and it was exciting to finally meet these two free-spirits in person.
I started the day with Sarah at the Priory Hotel. The Priory is such a unique hotel, I highly recommend it for getting ready before any city wedding. Sarah’s mom and best friend helped her get ready that afternoon. The three of them share a special level of comfort that made photographing them together effortless and importantly, fun. I always appreciate the kind of openness they showed!
Dan got ready at the Mattress Factory with his immediate family. I loved capturing the silly moments he had with his sister! As guests started to arrive I captured the big, celebratory hugs, which I think is such an important part of a wedding day story.
Sarah took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle, confident and solo. Their ceremony took place in the garden space at the Mattress Factory by one of the brick installations. S+D held hands and gave each other giant smiles as one of their good friends officiated.
During their portrait time we explored the Mattress Factory and our favorite spots in the Northside + Mexican War Streets. I could say it a million times, these two are so fun to work with! Sarah and Dan expressed their truest selves and it shows.
