A romantic and sophisticated black, white and gold wedding at Windows on the River in Cleveland, Ohio. The only way I wanted to spend my Memorial Day Weekend was celebrating Lauren + Trent. What. A. Dream.
The day started at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel in downtown Cleveland. Which was a perfect location in my opinion, because it gave us a cool and interesting space for Lauren + Trent’s rainy first look. The Kimpton Schofield is just a beautiful, light filled hotel, set in an old Cleveland landmark building. You can’t beat its charm.
This portion of the day also brought all the family love feels. I love the moments with Lauren and her mom, and Trent with his oldest brother getting ready. The real waterworks came during Lauren’s first look with her dad. My goal always is to capture these moments truly, and you can feel the admiration all around.
Stopping at the iconic Cleveland sign was a must! I love the images that we got here. The location gives a great backdrop– downtown views plus a look at Clevelands old industrial past. The wedding party looked stunning against this backdrop, in their timeless black and white. Our next stop continued the historic Cleveland theme, with some added pops of color.
It was time to get married! The ceremony and reception took place at Windows on the River in the Bridge View Room. Windows on the River is a gorgeous brick space and part of the old railway. It’s also attached to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.
Lauren + Trent adorned their room with gold backed chiavari chairs, lots of candles, and the most incredible neon sign above the head table. They also reused their ceremony arch (wedding arch + all flowers by the talented Al Wilhelmy), which is such a great way to add some impact somewhere else following the ceremony.
I already adored Lauren + Trent, but did I also fall in love with Cleveland after this day? I may have. Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!
